The sealing cone surface of the needle valve coupling is located at the lowest end of the coupling, and consists of two parts: the needle valve sealing cone surface and the needle valve body sealing cone surface. The two ends of the sealing cone are respectively the high-pressure fuel from the oil tank and the cylinder pressure connected to the injection hole, which are the sealing surfaces that directly control the fuel injection. Due to the extrusion effect of the needle valve on the seat surface of the valve body, a small contact zone is formed between the sealing cone surface of the needle valve and the sealing cone surface of the needle valve body. The material of the needle valve and the needle valve body is required to have high rigidity and wear resistance, and the bearing steel or high-speed steel with special treatment is generally used. Due to the continuous impact between the needle valve and the valve body seat and the impact of high temperature and high pressure generated by the combustion of the external cylinder, the sealing cone surface is prone to wear and tear, resulting in poor sealing and fuel dripping. The contact stress of the sealing cone is very large, and many products will be carburized or sprayed to ensure that the sealing cone can maintain good sealing characteristics for a long time in harsh environments. Therefore, the sealing of the needle valve couple adopts both the mutual moving oil film seal and the static contact seal.
The needle valve coupling is one of the three precision couplings of the diesel fuel injection system. It is often worn by high speed, high pressure and impurity particles in the fuel during work, resulting in a decrease in sealing performance.
