Injector inspection
1. Injection nozzle tight cap inspection (1) Check the thread for damage. (2) Check the nicks and burrs on the outer cone surface, these defects hinder the correct seating of the injector head in the cylinder head sleeve. (3) Check for nicks or burrs on the shoulder of the inner cone injector head seat, which will prevent the correct seating of the injector tip.
2. Injector body
Check for burrs or other defects on the balance bore. Check the inlet and outlet oil passages to ensure they are unobstructed. Inspect the injector tip cap threads for damage. Check for nicks or burrs on the O-ring mounting surface that can damage the O-ring during installation. Check for nicks and burrs on the mating surface of the plunger sleeve, and if any damage is found, it should be repaired by grinding. Check the inside diameter behind the adjustable orifice plug, if an oil orifice reamer needle that is too long is used, the needle may pass through the injector body, resulting in dilution of the lubricating oil.
Generally speaking, the performance of the injector directly affects the performance index and working state of the diesel engine. As a marine engineer, during the normal operation of the diesel engine, you must pay close attention to the performance of the injector to prevent problems such as oil run, drip, oil leakage, and blockage during the work process. At the same time, you must do a good job in maintenance and management in five aspects Work and deal with problems with main components such as needle valve couplings and nozzle holes to ensure safe, reliable and stable operation of diesel injectors.
