    INJECTOR TIPS

    The fuel injectors of medium and small high-speed diesel engines generally have two types: pintle type and porous type. Axial needle injectors are used in vortex or pre-combustion combustion chambers. The number of injection holes is 1, and the diameter of the injector is more than 1mm. This type of injector works reliably, and the injection holes are not easy to be blocked by carbon deposits, but the thermal efficiency is low and the fuel consumption is high. Domestic 125 series and 146 series diesel engines belong to this category. Multi-hole injectors are used in direct injection combustion chambers. It can spray several injection ranges with small taper and long range. This kind of injector has high thermal efficiency and saves fuel. The fuel injector of the domestic 135 series diesel engine has multiple nozzle holes with a diameter of 0.35mm
    The needle valve coupler of the fuel injector is relatively precise, and its matching clearance is only 0.002~0.004mm. If there are impurities in the diesel oil, the needle valve will be stuck. In addition, the head of the fuel injector has been in contact with high-temperature and high-pressure gas in the combustion chamber for a long time, causing the needle valve to gradually expand and deform, and affect the normal operation of the locomotive.
