Structure of gear oil pump
The function of the oil pump is to make a certain amount of oil generate a certain pressure and deliver it to the friction surfaces of the moving parts of the diesel engine for lubrication.
At present, there are two types of oil pumps used in diesel engines: gear type and rotor type. 135 series diesel engines and 6110Z, 6120Q, X6130 and 6140B diesel engines all use gear oil pumps, and 495Q, 6105Q and YC6110Q diesel engines use rotor oil pumps.
The gear oil pump is mainly composed of driving gear, driven gear, pump body, oil pump cover, driven shaft, driving shaft thrust bearing and transmission gear and other parts.
The driving shaft is installed on the driving bearing through the semicircular key, and the driving bearing is fixed on the pump body and the front cover of the oil pump. The driven gear is installed in the pump body through the driven shaft. The cooperation between the pump body and the pump cover is positioned by two positioning pins, and a gasket is installed between the two, and the clearance of the gear end surface can be adjusted by changing the thickness. If the gap is too large, the oil pressure will decrease; on the contrary, if the gap is too small, the frictional resistance will increase when the oil pump rotates, and the wear of the gear will be accelerated. Under normal circumstances, the gap between the pump body and the pump cover should be between 0.05 and 0.115mm. The transmission gear is fixed on the front end of the driving shaft through a half-round key and a nut, and a steel wire retaining ring is installed on the rear end of the driving shaft to prevent the driving shaft from falling off. A thrust bearing is installed between the transmission gear and the pump cover.
