Unit pump working principle and process
(1) working principle: electronically controlled monobloc pump injection system is divided into the following stages of the working process: monobloc pump solenoid valve is installed in the upper part of the monobloc pump, solenoid valve is de-energized, the return channel is open, monobloc pump plunger even if it has begun to pump oil, but also can not establish a high-pressure, only when the solenoid valve is energized, the return channel is closed, the oil pressure will be rapidly increased; high-pressure fuel through the high-pressure oil pipe into the injector to make the fuel injection. When the solenoid valve is de-energized, the oil return channel is opened, and the oil pressure is rapidly overflowed, and the injection stops. Solenoid valve energized for a period of time determines the amount of cyclic oil supply.
(2) charging process: the solenoid valve is not energized, when the plunger moves down, the internal pressure of the injection system will be lower than the injection pressure of the low-pressure oil circuit, the low-pressure system fuel will enter the high-pressure injection system through the inlet on the plunger sleeve.
(3) Bypass process: when the plunger rises, the fuel in the plunger cavity is compressed, but if the solenoid valve is still in the de-energized state, the fuel pressure in the plunger cavity will be determined by the opening pressure of the return relief valve, which is much lower than the opening pressure of the injector, so that the fuel will flow back to the fuel tank through the return channel.
(4) Injecting process: During the rise of the plunger, if the electronic control unit (ECU) sends out a signal to control the injecting pulse at a certain moment, so that the solenoid valve is energized, then the return channel is closed, and the plunger cavity is formed into a closed volume, with the rise of the plunger, the fuel in the closed volume is compressed, and the pressure rises rapidly, and the pressure at the nozzle end of the injector rises sharply, and the injector opening pressure (about 300 bar) is higher than that of the injector, then the fuel pressure will be determined by the return relief valve opening pressure, which is far lower than the injector opening pressure. When the pressure is higher than the opening pressure of the injector (about 300 bar), the injector opens and fuel is injected into the combustion chamber. The maximum injection pressure is up to 1800 bar.
(5) Unloading process: When the signal for controlling the injection pulse is terminated, the solenoid valve is de-energized, the return channel is reopened, the fuel overflows, the pressure in the plunger chamber as well as in the nozzle drops rapidly, the nozzle is closed, and the injection process ends.
