How the injector works
"High pressure common rail" as the name implies, is "common rail" and "high pressure". There is a common high pressure, and it has nothing to do with the engine speed. The pressure in the fuel injection system of the high-pressure common rail diesel engine can reach about 20,000kpa. The oil pressure is the breakthrough point of this system. Under such a high oil pressure, the entire system can complete the precise oil supply with different injection methods and injection oil volumes under the instructions of the electronic control module.
When the high-pressure fuel is delivered to the fuel injector through the common rail, it can finally inject diesel into the cylinder with a very precise amount and at a precise time under the regulation of this top electronic controller. Therefore, unlike the traditional diesel engine which only injects fuel once during the entire stroke cycle, the diesel engine under the high-pressure common rail technology can achieve as many as eight times from the beginning to the end. This process starts with a very small amount of pre-injection at the beginning, gradually increases the amount of fuel injected and accelerates the injection speed as the piston gradually compresses the mixture in the cylinder to the minimum volume, until the main injection is finally triggered, and it is completed The entire spraying process before the working stroke. All of these diesel fuels are atomized and sprayed at multiple points by the fuel injectors. To sum it up in one sentence, it complicates the original simple fuel injection process, but it achieves extremely high fuel combustion efficiency and squeezes out the energy contained in every drop of oil. On the other hand, higher combustion efficiency means higher emission standards. And this common rail system can also produce less noise than traditional diesel engines. Because the fuel supply method of multi-point injection reduces the source of most vibrations. Moreover, the vibration that exploded only once during the working stroke was also broken down by the micro-vibration of multiple step-by-step combustion.
