    The atomization of fuel injection plays an important role in improving the performance of direct injection diesel engines, such as reducing nitrogen oxides (NOx) and particles (PM) emissions and increasing the output power. In order to obtain good fuel atomization without increasing fuel injection pressure, the effective way is to increase the fuel flow rate in the nozzle hole. Enlarging the ring Angle at the nozzle inlet has proved to be a very effective and suitable method to manufacture the nozzle with high fuel flow rate.

    Diesel Engines In order to meet increasingly stringent emission regulations, we have focused a great deal of attention on the use of small nozzle diameters and high injection pressures to improve the overall performance of NOx 1 PM. However, the reduction of emissions is related to the overall performance of the engine, such as output power, noise and fuel consumption. All of these factors have become very difficult to optimize. Moreover, the size of fuel injection pump with high injection pressure has become very large, almost reaching the allowable limit. Therefore, it is our hope to improve the overall performance of NOx-PM by improving atomization without increasing injection pressure.

    A smaller nozzle diameter and an increased fuel flow rate are both effective ways to improve atomization (the smaller the SMD, the better the atomization). However, as shown by the formula derived from Bernoulli's theory, simply reducing the diameter of the nozzle will reduce the injection rate and increase the injection duration, which will result in reduced engine power output. Although there is a way to increase the number of holes to maintain the same total orificket section, this is not an appropriate method considering the combination with the engine combustion chamber. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the fuel flow rate in the nozzle without sacrificing the engine output power.
