Common Causes Of Diesel Engine Failure
1. Improper assembly adjustment
First, the clearance between the cylinder and the piston does not meet the standard requirements, resulting in the inversion of the piston ring position, and the opening position is not staggered, causing oil and gas leakage in the cylinder. Second, the main shaft bearing and connecting rod bearing are installed in the standard position, resulting in the assembly position not meeting the standard requirements, and the tightening torque and clearance do not meet the standard, causing burning and wear. Third, the timing gear is installed in the assembly position, affecting the gear meshing relationship, and correspondingly causing the piston and valve collision
problem. Fourth, the valve clearance does not meet the standard, affecting the valve tightness, which may burn the valve and other parts, and accelerate the wear of the valve mechanism parts. Fifth, the supply and interval of each cylinder are uneven, which can easily affect the stability of the diesel engine and cause incomplete combustion problems.
2. The diesel engine cannot start normally
First, check the low-pressure oil circuit. Pay attention to checking the diesel switch at the bottom of the diesel tank to ensure that it is in the open state. Use the drain valve to completely remove the dirty oil and water in the tank. At the same time, check and discharge the dirty oil and water in the filter and diesel filter. The bleed screw on the top of the high-pressure pump body should be loosened appropriately. Use the hand oil pump to pump oil, and observe the low-pressure oil supply status at the same time to ensure that it is sufficient and smooth. If it is not smooth and insufficient, it means that there is residual air inside. The technician should check all links of the pipeline before the hand oil pump to check the leaking parts. When the hand oil pump is used to pump oil, if the oil is difficult to come in and the oil suction is not smooth, it means that there is a blockage in the low-pressure oil circuit, and the diesel filter screen, filter element, and pipeline blockage must be checked. When the temperature is low, the diesel brand should be checked to avoid oil circuit blockage due to wax precipitation of diesel and water freezing. When a blockage problem occurs, the fault must be eliminated in time until the oil suction is smooth and the oil supply is free of bubbles. If the fault is not caused by the above reasons, it may be that the piston of the hand oil pump is severely worn, the valve is damaged, or it is electrically contaminated by dirt. It may also be due to insufficient sealing of the hand oil pump, and the hand oil pump needs to be replaced at this time. Second, check the high-pressure oil circuit. When there is no fault in the low-pressure oil circuit, the diesel engine cannot start normally, and the high-pressure oil circuit must be checked. First, check the oil quantity adjustment gear rod of the high-pressure pump to ensure the flexibility of the adjustment gear rod to avoid it getting stuck in the stop position. Pay attention to checking the oil supply time of the high-pressure oil pump. If the oil supply time is unreasonable, it must be adjusted to the standard time. Pay attention to eliminating the air inside the high-pressure oil pipe. When there is air inside the diesel high-pressure oil pipe, it cannot pass through the starter to drive the diesel engine to rotate. When handling, the nut connecting the injector to the high-pressure oil pipe should be loosened, and the starter should be started to rotate the diesel engine. When the high-pressure oil pipe can spray fuel, the nut connecting the high-pressure oil pipe should be tightened. When the above method cannot be used to start, the injector and the high-pressure oil pump must be checked. No matter which of the above devices fails, the experimental operation must be carried out on the test bench, and a special pressure tester must be used to avoid accidents.
