The impact of fuel injection nozzle failure on the car
Injector failure can have many adverse effects on the car, including the following aspects:
1. Reduced power performance:
Injector failure may cause uneven fuel injection or insufficient fuel injection. This means that the combustion in the cylinder is not complete and cannot provide enough power, making the car feel obviously lack of power when accelerating, climbing or driving at high speed, such as slow acceleration and difficulty in overtaking.
2. Unstable idling:
If there is a problem with the injector, it will affect the injection amount and injection timing of the fuel at idle, causing the engine speed to fluctuate greatly when idling, and even stall. For example, when the vehicle is waiting for a red light, the engine speed fluctuates.
3. Increased fuel consumption:
When the injector is blocked or dripping, the fuel cannot be accurately injected and burned. Blockage will lead to insufficient fuel injection. In order to maintain normal operation, the engine will increase the number of injections, thereby increasing fuel consumption; dripping will cause excess fuel to be discharged without combustion, which also leads to increased fuel consumption.
4. Excessive exhaust emissions:
Incomplete combustion caused by a faulty fuel injector will cause incompletely burned fuel to enter the exhaust system, increasing the emission of pollutants such as carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides, resulting in the failure of automobile exhaust to meet environmental standards.
5. Difficulty starting:
If the fuel injector cannot inject fuel normally or the injection pressure is insufficient, the concentration of the mixed gas in the cylinder will be inappropriate, causing difficulty in starting the engine, and it may take multiple ignitions to start the vehicle.
6. Engine shaking:
Abnormal operation of the fuel injector will cause uneven operation of each cylinder, causing the overall shaking of the engine, and the vibration of the vehicle body can be clearly felt when driving.
