(5) Check the alignment of the nozzle head and plunger by hand. Remove the plunger and coat it with fuel oil or test oil. Hold the injector vertically (nozzle head down) and let the plunger drop a few drops of oil into the nozzle head. Insert approximately 12.7mm plunger into the plunger sleeve. The plunger must slide in smoothly. Press the plunger nozzle by hand so that the plunger is pressed tightly in the nozzle head seat surface and rotates 90°. Hold the injector so that the nozzle head is up and the plunger should be able to slide out of the injector when the injector is lifted up quickly. If the plunger does not slip out, remove the plunger, grease the top of the plunger and repeat the test.

(6) Use 3375209 injector plunger block check tool to check the block condition of plunger. Place the assembled fuel injector on the tool (nozzle head on the support), loosen the setting screw on the torque wrench rod, adjust the rod to the required length and tighten the setting screw, so that the air compression cylinder is pressurized and the air regulator is adjusted to 207±15 kPa, rotate the fuel injector body and observe the reading of the torque wrench. If the reading exceeds 0.226 N·m, remove the injector, place it on the assembly fixture, loosen and re-tighten the nozzle head tightening cap. Recheck the injector on the 3375209 plunger Block Check tool. If this tool is not available, loosen the nozzle head tightening cap, turn the nozzle head 1/4 turn and tighten it again. You can redo it if necessary.
