Causes and troubleshooting of air in diesel engine fuel injection pump
After the fuel injection pump in the diesel engine is connected to the oil circuit, a sealed circuit is formed. When there is air in the original body, the diesel engine will not be able to supply oil and stop working. At this time, the operator should first check whether the amount of diesel in the fuel tank has been used up, and whether the inlet oil pipe has left the oil level; secondly, check whether the air outlet of the fuel tank is blocked, causing a vacuum and negative pressure in the oil line to prevent oil supply, and then Loosen the bleed screw in the fuel injection pump and pump the oil with a hand oil pump. If a large number of bubbles or oil foam appears and the oil supply is not smooth, it means that the low-pressure oil circuit is also blocked. At this time, the coarse and fine diesel filters should be checked. Check whether the cleaner is clogged, whether there are cracks or defects in the oil pipes; whether the gaskets at the joints of each oil pipe have been forgotten to be installed, or whether the gaskets have been damaged, causing leakage or air intake. When the hand oil pump pumps oil, the oil supply feels smooth but there is no pressure. This is mainly because the spring in the oil return relief valve on the fuel injection pump is broken or fatigued and deformed, the steel ball is worn or dirt is cushioned, and the seal is not tight. , causing the low-pressure oil line pressure to be too low, causing insufficient fuel supply to the fuel injection pump. When checking the sealing effect of the oil return relief valve, block the oil inlet with your hand and blow with your mouth. If it cannot blow, it is normal. Otherwise, the seal is not tight. When pumping oil with a hand oil pump, you should feel elasticity and pressure when you twitch the handle. It is easy when you release the handle or it will return automatically.
For old-fashioned hand oil pumps, you should also check whether the oil path between the fuel injection pump inlet pipe and the fuel tank is blocked. If there is any blockage, it is mostly caused by the oil inlet filter under the oil pump being blocked by dirt or the gasket being damaged. When pumping oil with a hand oil pump, I feel no suction when turning the handle. When I press the handle, I feel a lot of resistance. The main reason is that the oil path between the oil pump and the oil pump is blocked. Most of the reasons are due to the oil inlet screw of the fuel injection pump and the overflow valve being installed backwards, the check valve in the oil transfer pump being installed backwards or being worn too much, the rubber sealing ring of the hand oil pump being aged and damaged, etc.
If there are a large number of bubbles in the return pipe on the injector, this is mainly because the injector nozzle of a certain cylinder is stuck in the open position, and the high-pressure gas in the cylinder escapes into the injection pump body. Remove one end of the oil return pipe connected to the oil filter, block the filter oil return port, and the bubbles disappear, indicating that the fault is in the injector. Then find which cylinder injector assembly is stuck and eliminate it.
