5 common causes of fuel injector pump damage
The function of the fuel injector pump is to suck the gasoline out of the fuel tank, and transport the gasoline to the fuel injector through the pipeline and fuel filter, and then enter the engine combustion chamber for combustion.
1. There is insufficient oil in the fuel tank. When the fuel level warning light in the instrument lights up, the fuel pump motor cannot be adequately cooled and lubricated due to the low liquid level, which may cause the motor to overheat or even stop working. If this happens for a long time, the damage to the fuel injector pump will be accelerated.
2. The quality of gasoline is too poor, and there are impurities or foreign matter in the gasoline. When the fuel injector pump is too dirty, these impurities will enter the internal bearings of the fuel injector pump, which will accelerate the wear of the bearings and cause damage to the fuel injector pump.
3. If the gasoline filter is not replaced for a long time, the gasoline filter will become clogged, and the inside of the fuel injector pump will be under high load for a long time, causing damage to the fuel injector pump.
4. The motor inside the fuel injector pump is faulty. The motor speed is not enough or does not work at all.
5. There is an open circuit or short circuit in the fuel injector pump circuit.
