    Analysis of abnormal noise of diesel pump

    The diesel pump is an important component of the lubrication system. This component is the power component of the system and ensures that sufficient amount and pressure of lubricating diesel are provided to the system. Rotor-type diesel pumps are widely used in vehicle engines because of their compact structure and light weight. The rotor diesel pump consists of an inner and outer rotor, a pump body, and a pump cover. According to the structure of the diesel pump, an diesel pump flow field analysis model is established to conduct flow field analysis and conduct research on the diesel pump. Based on the type and type of noise, it was initially determined that the cause of the abnormal noise in the vehicle was insufficient diesel supply to the system during cold start, resulting in abnormal noise in the moving parts. Therefore, the diesel pump and filter collector are modeled and analyzed to determine their flow field distribution. The diesel pump and filter collector express parts were produced, a cold start test was conducted in a low-temperature environment chamber, and the noise data was monitored. According to the monitoring data, it was found that the duration of the noise was significantly shortened. In addition, according to the noise spectrum diagram, it can be seen that the abnormal noise of the previous mechanical parts has been eliminated, and there is only slight sub-synchronous noise. Based on the research on the abnormal noise problem of the diesel pump that occurred during the low-temperature cold start of a certain diesel engine, we conducted diesel pump analysis and filter analysis to determine the mechanism of abnormal noise under low-temperature conditions, and then determined and analyzed the optimization plan to determine the optimization. Finally, a low-temperature environment chamber test was conducted to verify the final optimization effect. According to the optimization effect, it can be seen that the optimization scheme has a significant effect on shortening the abnormal noise test and eliminating abnormal noise, indicating that the optimization scheme of the diesel pump and filter collector is effective.
