    Analyze the engine noise on the timing side and determine that its excitation source is the high-pressure diesel pump, which is transmitted to the timing cover through the water pump housing to produce radiated noise. Analysis: The stiffness of the high-pressure diesel pump water pump housing, the tension of the timing gear train, and the stiffness of the timing cover all have an impact on the transmission of vibration. The water pump housing, the tensioning force of the timing gear train and the timing cover are optimized to reduce vibration and noise.
