    Fuel system maintenance precautions

    Before disassembling the oil pipe, the pressure should be relieved first to prevent higher pressure fuel from spraying out and causing a fire. When installing oil pipe joints, for bolt-type pipe joints, new gaskets must be used during installation. The joint bolts must be tightened by hand first, and then tightened to the specified torque with tools. For nut-type pipe joints, you should first apply a thin layer of lubricating oil on the bell mouth, tighten it by hand first, and then use a tool to tighten the joint to the specified torque. The O-ring cannot be reused after the fuel injector is removed. Lubricate the O-ring with gasoline before installing the fuel injector. Be careful not to use engine oil, gear oil or brake fluid. When installing, it should be installed while turning left and right. It should be aligned and not skewed. Poor installation of the upper part or damaged O-ring will cause oil leakage; poor sealing of the lower part will cause air leakage. After overhauling the fuel system, carefully check for oil leaks. Turn on the ignition switch and the engine does not start. Use a jumper wire to connect the FP and +B terminals of the diagnostic socket (Toyota models) to force the fuel pump to operate. Clamp the oil return pipe and the system oil pressure will rise to 400kP. Check whether there is any oil leakage in the fuel system. Only after confirming that there is no oil leakage can it be officially started. After starting, let the engine run at idle speed, and then carefully check whether there is any oil leakage. Only then can the engine hood be closed and run normally.
