The fuel injector is a component that often fails in the high-pressure common rail system, and the working performance of the fuel injector directly affects the power and economy of the engine. Therefore, it is necessary to master its maintenance methods. The Cummins XPI common rail fuel injection system adopts the high-pressure common rail injector (XPI injector for short) designed and produced by my country itself, and the XPI injector is widely assembled on Cummins engines. This series of injectors has multiple technologies such as ultra-high pressure (injection pressure above 2000bar) and multi-stage injection technology, which improves the economy and power of the engine and reduces emissions.
Repair of Injector Valve Assembly
The sealing ring on the positioning sleeve of the component should be replaced if it is damaged, the internal small hole blockage should be unblocked, the disassembly spline end deformation should be replaced in time, and the bottom end surface should be dealt with if it is scratched or worn. The oil return hole on the top of the upper valve is worn and should be replaced, and the small holes on the top and side of the middle valve should be unblocked in time. When installing the middle valve, the small hole on the measuring surface should be staggered by an angle with the fuel inlet hole of the fuel injector, so that the fuel entering the fuel injector can generate a relative buffer force and effectively protect the service life of the valve stem. The blockage of the center hole inside the lower valve should be unblocked, and the impurities at the top raised position should be dealt with.
