Diesel engine starting process analysis
When the system is powered on, the diesel inlet solenoid valve opens, and the starting motor rotates through the gear train to drive the diesel engine to run at a speed of 200~300r/min, and drives the diesel pump to run synchronously at half the speed of the diesel engine. Under the action of the vane diesel transfer pump, diesel is sucked into the pump chamber, and sufficient pressure in the pump chamber is established to ensure that sufficient diesel enters the high-pressure chamber of the plunger. The ECU detects the start signal and provides sufficient driving current to the diesel quantity actuator to ensure appropriate effective diesel supply stroke. Driven by the starter motor, the rotor distribution pump injects diesel fuel into the corresponding cylinders of the diesel engine at regular intervals. When the start is completed, the diesel engine speed rises sharply instantly. The ECU determines the start is successful based on the speed signal and reduces the fuel actuator driving current in real time, thereby reducing the effective diesel supply and keeping the engine running smoothly at idle speed. The starting process is completed. When the plunger rises to a certain level (that is, it reaches the effective stroke of the plunger), the unloading hole on the plunger exposes the control plane of the control sleeve. The high-pressure diesel in the plunger cavity is unloaded through the center diesel passage of the plunger, and the diesel pressure drops rapidly and the fuel supply ends. By sorting out a series of reasons for the long start-up time, it was confirmed that the cause of the failure was the inconsistency between the detection status and the actual working status. From further analysis of this inconsistency, it was found that the diesel pump blades and the inner circle of the eccentric ring were not tightly matched, resulting in diesel supply in the early stage of start-up. Insufficient capacity, by rationally adjusting the positions of the diesel inlet tank and the diesel supply tank, the diesel transfer pump blades can work in a range that is conducive to diesel scraping, effectively improving the diesel supply capacity and solving the problem of long startup time.
