The automotive fuel pump is divided into two parts: the fuel pump and the diesel pump. The fuel pump is installed inside the engine. Its function is to send the engine oil to the friction parts of the engine so that the engine oil circulates in the lubrication circuit to ensure that the engine is well lubricated. The fuel pump is mostly a gear pump, which is composed of a gear pump body and so on. When the engine is working, the camshaft drives the driving gear of the pump body to rotate. The gear swings the oil along the inner wall of the pump from the oil inlet to the oil outlet, forming a low pressure and generating suction, and the oil in the oil tank is sucked into the oil inlet. The oil at the oil outlet accumulates more and more, so the pressure increases, and the oil is pressed to each friction part to realize forced lubrication.

The diesel pump is the pump body installed in the fuel tank to transport the fuel to the generator and provide power for the car to drive. Its function is to supply the fuel required by each injector and cold start injector. There are generally two types of electric diesel pumps used in electronically controlled gasoline injection systems, namely roller electric diesel pumps and vane electric diesel pumps. The roller type electric diesel pump consists of a shell, a cylindrical roller and a rotor. The five rollers can slide radially in the groove of the rotor, and there is a certain eccentricity between the rotor and the housing. The rotor rotates under the drive of the DC motor, and under the action of centrifugal force, the rollers are pressed against the inner surface of the pump body to form five relatively independent sealing chambers. When rotating, the volume of each sealing cavity changes continuously, and when it is in the oil inlet, the volume increases to form a certain vacuum, and the filtered gasoline is sucked into the pump. At the oil outlet, the volume becomes smaller, the pressure rises, and the gasoline passes through the DC motor and pushes the check valve to be output. When the oil pipeline is blocked or the gasoline filter is blocked, the gasoline pressure exceeds the specified value, the pressure limiting valve opens, and the gasoline flows back to the oil inlet side. The vane diesel pump is a pump in which the vanes in the rotor slot are in contact with the pump casing, and the sucked liquid is pressed from the oil inlet side to the oil discharge side.
