Inspection and repair of fuel injector assembly

(1) Place the check valve ball on top of the plunger sleeve. Make sure that all fitting surfaces are partially clean and free of burrs or other defects, otherwise it may result in incorrect flow or torque. If so, grind and trim.

(2) Hold the plunger sleeve and hold the check valve ball up, and put the threaded pin of the new injector body into the plunger sleeve (the cylindrical pin is no longer used). Dip the injector plunger in clean injector test oil and attach it to the injector body (without spring). Turn the injector and plunger so that the plunger sleeve is facing up and place the nozzle head on the plunger sleeve.

(3) lubricate the contact surface of the nozzle head flange of the nozzle head tight cap with diesel lubricating oil, and install them on the injector body. Tighten the nozzle head tight cap with your fingers, then loosen it again l/4 turns.

(4) Insert the fuel injector into the special fixture. Insert the fuel injector card sleeve on the plane of the fuel injector body. Insert the injector tight cap wrench onto the injector tight cap. Lubricate studs and screw threads and tighten fuel injectors. Remove the injector from the jig, taking care not to let the nozzle head touch the stud.

(5) Remove the plunger from the injector body and lubricate the plunger with test oil. If the injector is top stop, the spring seat should be installed on the plunger. Attach the springs to the plunger and insert them into the injector body. Check plunger leakage and spray shape of nozzle head on tester.
