1. Fear of “dirty”
If the parts such as fuel filter, oil filter, air filter, hydraulic oil filter and various filter screens are too dirty, the filtering effect will be deteriorated, and too many impurities will enter the cylinder of the oil circuit, which will aggravate the The wear and tear of the parts increases the possibility of failure; if it is severely blocked, it will also cause the vehicle to not work normally. Dirty parts such as water tank cooling fins, air-cooled engine block and cylinder head cooling fins, and cooler cooling fins will cause poor heat dissipation and excessive temperature. Therefore, such “dirty” parts must be cleaned and maintained in time.

The temperature of the engine piston is too high, which will easily lead to overheating and melting, resulting in cylinder clinging; overheating of rubber seals, triangular tapes, tires, etc., which will cause premature aging, performance degradation, and shortened service life; electrical equipment such as starters, generators, and regulators If the coil is overheated, it is easy to burn out and be scrapped; the bearing of the vehicle should be kept at an appropriate temperature. If it is overheated, the lubricating oil will deteriorate quickly, which will eventually cause the bearing to burn out and the vehicle to be damaged.
3. Fear of “stringing”
Various coupling parts in the fuel system of the diesel engine, the driving and driven gears in the main reducer of the drive axle, the hydraulic control valve block and valve stem, the valve core and valve sleeve in the full hydraulic steering gear, etc. After special processing, they are ground in pairs, and the fit is very precise. They are always used in pairs during the service life, and must not be interchanged. Some parts that cooperate with each other, such as piston and cylinder liner, bearing bush and journal, valve and valve seat, connecting rod cover and shaft, etc., after a period of running-in, they are relatively well matched. During maintenance, attention should also be paid to Assemble in pairs, don’t “drop in” with each other.
4. Fear of “anti”
The engine cylinder head gasket cannot be installed reversely, otherwise it will cause premature ablation damage of the cylinder head gasket; some special shaped piston rings should not be installed reversely, and should be assembled according to the requirements of different models; the engine fan blades also have directions when installed Requirements, fans are generally divided into two types: exhaust and suction, and they should not be reversed, otherwise it will cause poor heat dissipation of the engine and overheating; for tires with directional patterns, such as herringbone pattern tires, the ground marks after installation should The toe points to the rear for maximum drive. For the two tires installed together, different models have different requirements, so they cannot be installed at will.
5. Fear of “lack”
When maintaining vehicles, some small parts may be missed due to negligence, and some people even think that it doesn’t matter whether they are installed or not, which is very dangerous and harmful. The engine valve lock pieces should be installed in pairs. If they are missing or missing, the valves will be out of control and the pistons will be damaged; the cotter pins, locking screws, safety plates or If the spring pad and other anti-loosening devices are missing, serious failures may occur during use; if the oil nozzle used to lubricate the gears in the timing gear chamber of the engine is missing, it will cause serious oil leakage and make the engine The oil pressure is too low; the water tank cover, oil port cover, and fuel tank cover are lost, which will cause sand, stone, dust, etc. to invade, and aggravate the wear and tear of various parts.
6. Afraid of “oil”
The paper filter element of the dry air filter of the engine has strong hygroscopicity. If it is stained with oil, the mixed gas with a high concentration will be easily sucked into the cylinder, resulting in insufficient air volume, increased fuel consumption, and reduced engine power. The diesel engine may also be damaged. Cause “speeding”; if the triangular tape is stained with oil, it will accelerate its corrosion and aging, and at the same time it will easily slip, resulting in a decrease in transmission efficiency; brake shoes, friction plates of dry clutches, brake bands, etc., if oily If the starter motor and generator carbon brush are stained with oil, it will cause insufficient power of the starter motor and low voltage of the generator due to poor contact. Tire rubber is very sensitive to oil corrosion. Contact with oil will soften or peel the rubber, and short-term contact will cause abnormal damage or even serious damage to the tire.
7. Afraid of “washing”
Some people who are new to driving or learning to repair may think that all spare parts need to be cleaned. In fact, this understanding is one-sided. For the paper air filter element of the engine, when removing the dust on it, you can’t use any oil to clean it, just pat it gently with your hands or blow through the filter element with high-pressure air from the inside to the outside; for leather parts, it is not suitable To clean with oil, simply wipe clean with a clean rag.
8. Fear of “pressure”
If the tire casing is stored in a stack for a long time and is not turned over in time, it will be deformed due to extrusion, which will affect the service life; if the paper filter element of the air filter and fuel filter is squeezed, it will have a large deformation It cannot reliably play a filtering role; rubber oil seals, triangular tapes, oil pipes, etc. cannot be squeezed, otherwise they will also be deformed and affect normal use.
9. Fear of “near fire”
Rubber products such as tires, triangular tapes, cylinder liner water blocking rings, rubber oil seals, etc., will easily deteriorate or be damaged if they are close to the fire source, and on the other hand, they may cause fire accidents. Especially for some diesel vehicles, it is difficult to start in the severe cold in winter, and some drivers often use blowtorches to heat them up, so it is necessary to prevent the lines and oil circuits from burning out.
10. Fear of “repetition”
Some parts should be used at one time. Generally speaking, engine connecting rod bolts, nuts, fixed bolts of imported diesel engine injectors, cylinder liner water blocking rings, sealing copper pads, various oil seals of hydraulic systems, sealing rings and important parts After the parts such as pins and cotter pins are disassembled, they must be replaced with new ones; for the engine cylinder head gasket, although no damage is found during maintenance, it is best to replace them with new ones, because the old ones have poor elasticity, poor sealing, and are easy to be ablated and damaged, so they will not be used for a long time It needs to be replaced, which is time-consuming and labor-intensive, so if there is a new product, it is better to replace it as much as possible.
