In the calibration study of high pressure common rail diesel engine with full load at high altitude, it is suggested that the optimum injection advance Angle increases with the increase of altitude. In the calculation of combustion characteristics of turbocharged diesel engines in plateau environment, it is suggested that adjusting the injection advance Angle can improve the plateau combustion process and increase the power. It can be seen that the performance of diesel engine can be improved by adjusting the injection advance Angle under the premise of meeting the technical conditions of test diesel engine.
(1) Fuel injection advance is beneficial to improve the power performance of the diesel engine at the plateau environment. At the altitude of 4550m, the maximum combustion pressure per 1°CA injection advance increases by 0.26MPa on average and the power increases by 0.74kW on average. However, fuel injection too early will lead to the diesel engine rough work, mechanical load and heat load increase, reliability reduction. (2) The maximum average temperature in the cylinder under the plateau increases with the increase of injection advance Angle, the average temperature and heat release rate curve move forward as a whole, and the peak heat release rate has little change. (3) Considering the control of mechanical load and heat load, the oil injection under the altitude of the machine is 6°CA ahead of the plain, which can comprehensively improve the performance of the diesel engine, and the power can be restored to 81.7% of the plain.
Based on the injection law of each hole obtained from the spray momentum test of each hole, the maximum injection rate of each hole, the circulating injection volume of each hole, the total circulating injection volume of the injector and its cycle fluctuation with the rotation speed and circulating oil volume of the fuel injection pump were studied.
