PHINIA Unveils 500bar+ Fuel Injection and Alternative Fuel Innovations to Help Automakers Meet Future Emissions Standards

PHINIA, a leading global supplier of fuel systems, electrical systems, ignition systems, and aftermarket solutions, showcased its capabilities at Auto China 2026 in Beijing. At the exhibition, PHINIA announced the latest progress in its next-generation gasoline direct injection (GDi) system, moving towards a peak injection pressure of 500bar+. This system, planned for mass production in the fourth quarter of 2026, aims to support the automotive industry’s upgrade to meet future emissions regulations.

PHINIA’s advanced 500bar+ system for high-pressure injection applications now features enhanced software and system optimization capabilities, specifically designed to activate under operating conditions most sensitive to emissions and combustion. With superior fuel atomization, lower particulate emissions, and higher fuel efficiency, this advanced system represents a significant leap forward for high-pressure fuel injection technology in fuel applications.

“Increasingly stringent emission regulations are leading us into an era of diversified fuels,” said Yang Hongyong, Global Vice President and General Manager of Fuel Systems Asia Pacific at Fenia. “Our latest breakthroughs in methanol and ethanol technologies fully demonstrate how Fenia helps OEMs gain a competitive edge in a diversified fuel landscape—both enabling cleaner, more efficient engines and providing the necessary flexibility for a pragmatic transition to a sustainable multi-fuel future.”

Showcasing a Comprehensive Portfolio of Advanced Powertrain Technologies

At booth W2B15, Fenia presented a range of solutions covering traditional and alternative fuel technologies, including:

· 500bar+ GDi systems with next-generation power performance

· Flexible fuel systems for ethanol and methanol applications

· Hydrogen injection systems, including systems developed in collaboration with Alpine Racing

· Engine Management System (EMS) and domain controllers

· Port injection systems and diesel systems for light, medium, and heavy-duty applications

· The capacitive and inductive ignition technologies, making their debut at the auto show, embody Fenia’s core strategy: providing high-efficiency solutions that meet current stringent performance and emission standards, while actively developing and empowering future-oriented multi-fuel powertrain systems, fully preparing for the diversified transformation of powertrains.

On the 24th, Fenia held a press conference at its booth, where senior management outlined the company’s global strategy, regional growth plans, and latest technological developments. The agenda included presentations and discussions on high-pressure fuel systems, alternative fuels, and engine management system innovations. Fenia, along with its partners, participated in technical presentations and panel discussions, exploring key topics such as high-pressure injection, ethanol and methanol fuels, and the evolving regulatory landscape.
