On the afternoon of May 26, 2025, the press conference of “2025 International Automotive and Supply Chain Expo (Hong Kong)” was successfully held in the conference hall of CMA.
The exhibition is jointly organized by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association, Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong, China Association for Peaceful Development of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and Phoenix TV. With the theme of “New Automobile, New Journey”, it will focus on the cutting-edge technology and development trends of the global automotive industry and provide an important platform for communication and cooperation for the industry.
Mr. Lo Kam Wing, Chief Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Hong Kong International Automotive and Supply Chain Expo and President of the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong, expressed warm welcome and sincere thanks to all the guests and media on behalf of the organizers. He pointed out that Hong Kong, as an internationally renowned financial, logistics and trade center, has unique advantages and is highly consistent with the development of the automotive industry. Hong Kong’s vigorous development in green finance complements the concept of “low-carbon transformation” of new energy vehicles. Its international location advantage makes it a “super contact person” connecting the mainland and the global market, which can provide strong support for the global development of the automotive industry.
The exhibition will be held at the AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong from June 12 to 15, 2025. The exhibition has set up seven core exhibition areas: global automobiles, supply chains, low-altitude economy, Hong Kong innovation and technology, mainland innovation and technology, cultural activities, and Hong Kong Pavilion. It aims to promote the deep integration of the global automotive industry chain through a professional, international, and market-oriented platform. During the exhibition, many high-level activities will be held, including the global debut of new cars, the International Automobile and Supply Chain Summit Forum, the Low-altitude Economy Summit, the Rise of China’s Automotive Industry Sharing Session, lawyers’ special lectures, and business docking exchanges, to build a dual platform for the industry to exchange ideas and pragmatic cooperation.
Mr. Lu Jinrong mentioned that the agenda of various activities of the exhibition is currently being refined and improved to ensure the high quality and high level of the activities. In terms of media communication, a three-dimensional communication system of “central media + Hong Kong media + international communication platform” has been established, and it is expected to reach more than 100 million audiences at home and abroad. In terms of booth layout and business development in Hong Kong, the relevant team is advancing in an orderly manner, committed to creating a good environment for exhibitors and visitors. In terms of audience organization and interaction, the exhibition is promoted through multiple online and offline channels, and the enthusiasm of citizens to participate is high. It is expected that tens of thousands of visitors will enter on the first day.
Mr. Fu Bingfeng, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Hong Kong International Auto and Supply Chain Expo, Executive Vice President and Secretary General of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, comprehensively introduced the preparations, organization, exhibition activities and highlights of this Auto Expo.
This Hong Kong Auto Expo is large in scale, with as many as 11 mainland vehicle companies participating in the exhibition. Mainstream automobile brands such as FAW, Dongfeng, Changan, SAIC, GAC, BAIC, Chery, Geely, BYD, Xiaopeng, and Leapmotor will all appear in high-profile appearances. Among them, China FAW will exhibit its entire Hongqi brand, and the high-end Golden Sunflower brand right-hand drive car will also be available for people to appreciate on site; Dongfeng Motor will debut with its entire series of products, showing its brand responsibility and innovative technology; SAIC Group will display its own brand’s full matrix of new energy products; Chery Automobile will exhibit its entire brand of new energy vehicles for the first time in history, and will display “sea, land and air” black technology; Geely Holding Group will debut with its “integrated earth and sky” scientific and technological achievements, and its remote new energy commercial vehicle will also deliver the first batch of vehicles for the order of 1,000 remote super VANs, and put them into operation in Hong Kong’s new energy taxis.
In terms of technological innovation achievements in intelligent networked new energy vehicles, nearly 40 automotive supply chains and technology companies from the mainland will participate in the exhibition. Leading technology companies such as CATL, Horizon, and Momenta will make a concentrated appearance to exhibit the latest products and technological achievements in the fields of intelligent cockpits, combined assisted driving, and automotive chips. At the same time, many well-known Chinese institutions and technology companies in Hong Kong, such as Bank of China (Hong Kong), COSCO Shipping (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd., China Railway Construction Corporation Limited, and Mi Rui Group, also actively participated in this exhibition.
A grand opening ceremony will be held on the morning of June 12, and Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee will attend and deliver a speech. At the opening ceremony, the two places will also launch the “China Automotive and Supply Chain Enterprise Overseas Alliance” initiative around internationalization, give full play to Hong Kong’s advantages in finance and trade, and provide support for global development.
During the Auto Expo, in addition to exhibitions and displays, a number of high-end forums, special lectures, business negotiations, and investment and financing matching activities will be held to provide industry professionals with a high-quality platform for communication and cooperation. In addition, the Auto Expo will also hold consumer and cultural activities for the public to enhance the public’s experience of automotive technology and allow more people to experience the charm and development trends of the automotive industry.
Mr. Fu Bingfeng said that under the organizer’s efforts to cultivate advantageous resources, the Hong Kong Auto Expo will be able to play a long-term role in Hong Kong, radiate Asia-Pacific, and link global cooperation opportunities, and become the top international exhibition platform in the automotive industry that “foresee future trends, link head resources, strengthen technology empowerment, collaborate on innovation and development, help brand promotion, and promote trade promotion”, serving the industry, adding color to Hong Kong, and keeping pace with the times.
Mr. Fu Bingfeng mentioned that as a national industry organization, the China Automobile Association will continue to work closely with the Hong Kong SAR government to promote the construction of a healthy, mutually beneficial and win-win industrial ecology, and rely on the information service center established by the association in Hong Kong, and with the effect and potential of the Auto Expo, work with partners to provide high-quality services for the overseas development of enterprises.
