The 10th Thailand Exhibition has an exhibition area of about 6,000 square meters. A total of about 200 companies from Guangdong, Fujian, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Guizhou, Shanxi, Ningbo and other provinces and cities participated in the exhibition. At the same time, Guizhou Commodity Overseas Exhibition (ASEAN Station), 8 theme forums on investment and development of ASEAN and Thailand markets, and multiple online live broadcast activities were held. A total of 14,574 visitors from more than 40 countries and regions including Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, Singapore, Indonesia, Myanmar, Japan, the Philippines, etc. came to visit and purchase. 75% of the exhibitors were satisfied with the number and quality of buyers attending the exhibition, and most of the exhibitors considered continuing to participate in the exhibition next year. The overall exhibition effect, exhibitor satisfaction, and forum activity quality have been affirmed and praised by all parties in the industry.
Prospects of Thailand’s automobile and accessories market
The annual production capacity of Thailand’s automobile market has approached 2 million vehicles, increasing year by year. It is a market with great growth potential. Thailand’s domestic demand and exports are both in the millions. Under such an attractive situation, international automobile brands have increased their investment in Thailand, and Chinese automobile brands are also actively joining this vibrant market.
Thailand has 19 million vehicles, and the number of vehicles per thousand people is 271 per thousand people, which is higher than the number of vehicles per thousand people in China. Thailand’s automobile industry has two characteristics. The first is that it is the largest automobile manufacturer in ASEAN, and the second is that it is export-oriented. Among the top ten automobile producers in the world, Thailand ranks tenth. In ASEAN, Thailand has the highest annual automobile production. In 2012-2013, Thailand’s policy to stimulate automobile consumption brought the largest sales volume to 1.44 million and 1.13 million vehicles. The vehicles with the peak sales volume at the time will gradually enter the renewal period after 2023-2024, which will bring new sales demand. Therefore, we believe that Thailand’s domestic demand will have a relatively large growth in the next three years.
