On September 26, the 2024 Ningbo International Auto Parts and Aftermarket Exhibition (CAPAFAIR 2024) kicked off at the Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center.
8 exhibition halls, 51,650 square meters of exhibition area, brought together 1,950 exhibitors from 22 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The exhibition scale hit a record high and also attracted many professional visitors.
Popularity and global buyers gathered together
As China’s only export-oriented auto parts and aftermarket trade exhibition, CAPAFAIR 2024 attracted a large number of auto parts industry buyers from all over the world. According to statistics, the number of professional buyers entering the exhibition on the first day was 10,815.
Foreign trade has always been the advantage of Ningbo’s auto parts industry. On the first day of the exhibition, hundreds of overseas buyers from 39 countries and regions including Vietnam, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Russia, the United States, Singapore, Australia, and Colombia came in droves. “This is our first time to participate in the Ningbo International Auto Parts Exhibition. Everyone was looking forward to it before coming. After the opening today, we are really surprised and saw a lot of products we need.” The head of the purchasing group from Malaysia said.
Overseas buyers are in high spirits, and domestic buyers are also enthusiastic. Professional buyers such as import and export companies, cross-border e-commerce, and auto aftermarket agents/wholesalers/distributors from Zhejiang, Guangdong, Shanghai and other places are constantly coming to the exhibition, actively communicating and negotiating with exhibitors, gaining a deep understanding of industry trends, and seeking cooperation opportunities.
A gathering of elites, the exhibition level “reaches a higher level”
At present, competition in the domestic and international automobile markets is becoming increasingly fierce, and auto parts companies are in urgent need of finding new growth points and competitive advantages to cope with the constant changes and challenges of the market. Ningbo’s geographical advantages of “ports connecting the world”, a sound manufacturing base and strong foreign trade strength provide a solid foundation for the Ningbo International Auto Parts Exhibition, and also provide a platform and opportunity for exhibitors to integrate into the international and domestic dual circulation.
The scale of this exhibition has been upgraded again, covering Halls 1-8 of the Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center, achieving full exhibitions, and the total exhibition area has been increased to 51,650 square meters. At the exhibition site, 1,950 exhibitors from 21 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across the country, including Jiangsu, Shandong, Zhejiang and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, participated in the exhibition, bringing more than 100,000 exhibits in six major sectors, including automotive parts and components, automotive electrical and electronic, automotive supplies and modification, digital and intelligent systems, repair, inspection and maintenance, and processing technology and equipment, making the Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center a “full industrial chain display center for the auto parts industry.”
Domestic heavyweight auto parts industry bases such as Wenzhou, the “Automobile Parts Capital of China”, Taizhou, the “Bright Pearl of Automotive Chassis Parts Manufacturing”, Xingtai, the “Largest Auto Parts Production and Sales Base in North China”, and Linqing, the “Hometown of Bearings in China”, made their debut as a group.
Concurrent activities ignited the scene and discussed the high-quality development of the industry
In order to further deepen the connotation of the exhibition and enhance the exhibition experience. This exhibition will simultaneously hold a number of theme forums and new material product launches involving industrial innovation and development, cross-border e-commerce, intellectual property protection and risk prevention.
On the first day of the exhibition, the “Automotive Industry High-Quality Development Innovation Forum” hosted by Ningbo Auto Parts Industry Association, one of the organizers, attracted the attention of many exhibitors, buyers, experts and scholars and industry media.
The forum specially invited experts from the new energy vehicle industry, flying car industry and representatives of pioneers in technological innovation in the automotive industry to analyze the opportunities and challenges facing the automotive industry from different dimensions, share the latest research results and practical experience, and explore the paths and strategies for the transformation and upgrading of the automotive industry, bringing participants a deep insight into the future of the automotive industry.
